Yes! Let's admit it ladies, we do neglect them at times. I am so grateful that fashion has evolves tremendously including men in it too.

In conjunction with Father's Day, Vikki Lunez would like to thank the men in her life that is her daddy and the love of my life.

You complete my life. No doubt we constantly squabble especially me and daddy, you are still an integral part of my life.

For the love of my life, even though you are not a daddy yet, I still appreciate the time off your very busy traveling schedules. Even though the time we spent together is rather short, it is the most quality time ever!

Since there is no Men's Day, I will like to take this opportunity to pamper the love of my life too this Father's Day.

Amethyst has been known as the most highly prized form of quartz. It is the presence of manganese in quartz that produces the purple color, and iron content varies the coloration. Amethyst may be found throughout the world; our specimens are from Brazil and Uruguay.

Amethyst, Mythological Maiden- Bacchus, the god of wine, declared in a rage that the first person he passes will be eaten by tigers. This turns out to be a beautiful maiden named Amethyst. The goddess Diana quickly turned Amethyst into a white stone to save her from the tigers. Regretting his anger, Bacchus poured red wine over the stone as an offering to Diana, so turning the stone purple. Amethyst has long been associated with relieving hangovers, or curing drunkenness, probably as a result of its wine-like color and the Bacchus tale.

We know that earrings can add charm to our plain looking face beside full make up. But how do we know which one to choose from the myriads out there? Today, I would like to share some tips on basic styles that can be worn both day and night, appropriate for occasions and to match our clothing.


How to Choose Earrings?


First, we shall identify your face shape to identify the perfect earring styles to compliment your face. One that will enhance your good features. Taking into consideration the cut and color of your hair, your skin tone, your body size and clothes you are wearing.


Round Shape Face

DO


It is best to choose a lean, long and angular curved lines if your face is round. Not only it elongate, it also add a little angle to your face. Drop earrings in dangles, ovals and oblongs in either square or rectangular also known as angular earrings are very good options. 


DON'T


Avoid small studs, hoops and chunky large earrings.













Oval Shape Face

DO


This face shape can wear almost any earrings available in the market! The key point here is experimenting what looks good on you. Studs made from Diamond, Pearl, Gemstone are perfect.


DON'T


Very long and thin shapes because it will drag your face down.














Heart-Shaped Face

DO


Look for earrings that begins with a point. Something that is wide at the bottom such as teardrops, chandeliers and triangle shapes. Circular and oval earrings might work too for your face shape as long as they do not taper downwards. Pyramid style earrings also does it.


DON'T


Heart shaped and very short earrings accentuate the face shape.












Square Face Shape

Eva Longoria did it beautifully with a round edge earrings. Alternatively, angular edge helps too by softening this face shape. Hoops and curved edges will add the necessary roundness. While drop earrings, long teardrops or multi-tiered dangling earrings add length to the shape.


DON'T


Harsh and Square shapes are to be avoided.










Long or Thin Face Shape

Simple studs and chandelier style earrings are advisable here. Circular, triangular with the point up and square earrings help to widen the face shape.

Flat or dangling earrings to be avoided.










Diamond Face Shape

Wear short and wide earrings. A straight line and curves combination will work well for this face shape. Try studs and small drop earrings

Long and thin earrings to be avoided.














Triangular Face Shape

DO


Look for earrings that soften the sharp angles on your face. Preferably earrings with curves at the bottom. Large oval or small circular also helps.


DON'T


Any curves at the bottom that comes to a point.

Layering the necklaces look chic and stylish. You can easily wear one multilayer necklace or a few necklaces in the same color or different colors to brighten up your look.






Sea-Inspired Jewelry

Sea is a big theme for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season. It inspired plenty of fantastic accessories, including jewelry pieces such as starfish rings, pearl and fish-scale earrings, necklaces made of shells, iridescent crystals and other interesting jewelry. They can transform your look making it soft and romantic.
